Pride

We all have our paths in life and what will come as consequence we will hopefully accept.
But if you want to see through the charade, if you want to be decent and against corruption —
You should see Pride as the absolute and only root of Evil and the Father of all vices.

We could debate the necessity of Evil and Pride’s role in balancing the power within this Earth and Universe. But hold on for a second.

You have the power to excuse ANY behaviour or existence if you so wish. We are made that way, to deceive ourselves if we so please.

You could defend Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, Lust… As many have defended Pride to me. And I accept that it has its place and that we are human — susceptible to many great things. But we must recognise this and try better.

If you feel proud, it is a pleasing feeling within your chest, neck and head. When you are proud of your own accomplishments, your children, and your Nation… you do not see the consequences of this feeling.

Illusion, blurred morals, lack of honour, integrity, justifying ends by any means, and so forth…
These might be abstract and empty words, but…

What happens when you are proud of your Country, your Religion? Any and all who oppose can become “devils” in your own mind and you could slaughter them like so, without any guilt.

Illusion is a horrible thing, and Pride is the only sin that is close to unbeatable solely by the victim.
Why? What happens when Illusion’s bubble gets struck by an outside force — It gets met with rage and violence.

And I might be too grim in this rant, that this might be hyperbole. Could be, I honestly am not a wise man, but I am trying to learn from the wise.
But is any of us… perfect? Or do we all have all vices of the world within us, some more and some less?
What happens if we accept our evil and share it with our community? Flip its meaning and make it divine?

People love tribalism, and if we all feel a similar way, it must make us buddies and our bond must therefore be good?
What would happen if we glorify Wrath because we all feel wrathful? It’s okay to be wrathful, more so it’s encouraged. Would there be chaos in the world?

Well let me ask you this — if Wrath is the child of Pride, and Pride is the root of all Evil, didn’t we already accept and encourage Evil as… Good?

Would explain the current situation, wouldn’t it?
